Heat Shrink Tubing
Heat shrink tubing is a type of thermoplastic tube that shrinks when exposed to heat. It insulates and protects wires from dust and moisture by creating a tight seal, while keeping them neat and organised into bundles.
Our fantastic range includes heat shrink tubing from leading brands, a variety of colours, shrink ratios and lengths so you can find the right product for your project.

FAQs
How does heat shrink tubing work?
When applied, the tubing is expanded and placed around the required wires and electrical components. When heated using a heat gun, the tubing softens and contracts back to its original size, tightly enclosing the components, helping to insulate and protect wires.
What are the benefits of using heat shrink tubing?
The main benefit of using heat shrink tubing is its ability to protect against water, dust and abrasion, as well as providing electrical and thermal insulation. The tubes also allow you to organise multiple wires into manageable bundles and colour code them for easy identification.
What materials can I use heat shrink tubing on?
Heat shrink sleeving can be used on a variety of materials including wires, cables and connectors. It is compatible with materials like polyolefin, PVC, PTFE and silicone rubber.
What temperature does heat shrink tubing shrink at?
This depends on what kind of material your heat shrink sleeving is made out of. For example, Polyolefin tubing typically shrinks at temperatures between 125-135°C, while PVC shrinks at around 105°C.
